Five Australian National University subjects rank in world top 10

The Australian National University (ANU) continues to shine in global subject rankings, with more disciplines in the world’s top 10 than any other Australian university. 

According to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, five ANU disciplines secured top 10 global positions: Archaeology (8th), Politics & International Studies (8th), Anthropology (9th), Philosophy (9th), and Development Studies (10th). These rankings highlight ANU’s excellence in social sciences and humanities, reflecting its commitment to academic rigour and impactful research. Overall, ANU is 73rd in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) rankings and 30th in the QS World University Rankings.
