Three Australian universities have achieved the maximum rating of Five Stars Plus in the latest QS Stars assessment.

The QS Stars ratings evaluate universities across various categories, assigning a rating from one to five stars in each, along with a badge to signify their achievement. Based on these category ratings and other global standards, universities receive an overall QS Stars rating, with Five Stars Plus representing the highest distinction.

La Trobe University, the University of Wollongong and RMIT University all achieved maximum results, standing out from 9 other Australian universities that achieved five stars.

La Trobe’s Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Kerri-Lee Krause said of the assessment: “These fantastic results are a strong indicator of how La Trobe is achieving success in all areas that make a real difference to the employability and long-term success of our students.

“The successful ratings also demonstrate our emphasis on equity and access for all students, our international focus and the impact of our innovation on wider society and culture."
